Her's one captured at Villa Toucan inside the Gandoco-Manzanillo Reserve near Punta Uva Costa Rica.

The Toucans were abundant at this place but not that easy to get close to.

    Richard,
What an amazing bird, the colours are nothing short of bizarre.

Does it need a touch more sharpening or is it my eyes?

nice pose and a good BG. the details are a bit lacking in the body and feet so maybe another round of sharpening.

    Richard,
I am looking at this first thing in the morning so my eyes are better from some rest (I think)

Too them it has made a vast improvement, from good to brilliant.

Beautiful toucan, you got its colours just right! I like the habitat, although I would be tempted to tone down some of the brighter highlights found within. Even though the head is angled slightly away from us I am still digging the pose. Did you run some NR to the perch too? It seems very polished and smooth. I could go for less canvas at bottom. Very nice overall!

    Hi ALL

    Ken,thanks
Daniel -- perch hmm I dont think NR because I selected it with bird to adjust BG curve. Some trees there are really weird. I will have a look at the raw though

Plumage detail and sharpness much better on the repost - they really are incredible birds! I like the dense foliage BG.
