This young Elephant was busy eating palm nuts as we boarded our boat for our evening ride down Lake Manze Channel, Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania, 7th July 2012. You can just see a nut at the tip of his trunk.

A unique and interesting angle on this elephant. I think I rather like the POV. Since this is an environmental capture, I may have liked to see a little more canopy.

    Marina,

Thanks for your comment, I too thought it was an interesting angle. I know what you mean about more space, unfortunately I was as wide as the lens allowed and I did not wish too get too close at the bottom.

I like the POV very much here. Marina has a point on having a tad more 'canopy' on top...but not a biggy for me.
I would adjust 2 things here:
    1. selective colour (colour balance in PS) to get the slight green-cyan cast removed from the elephant
    2. selective brightening on the elephant as he looks a bit underexposed

There's also a strange cyan tinge to the leaves etc - almost like CA (chromatic abberation), which is quite possible at 70mm...easy to remove in RAW conversion though...
