    Default Creating a "sell list"

I can't come up with a better name than sell list, but here's what's going on.

I was accepted to show/sell my work at the 14th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural
    Festival in Cleveland.

The guidelines are each booth can only display 5 pieces at a time.

So I was thinking about creating some type of a list that would include what
bird images I have 'behind the table'. So if somebody looked at the list and
saw Spoonbills and was interested, I could pull that one out without breaking
5 pieces on display at a time rule.

I don't just want to give out a business card and say 'visit my site for more
    of my images'.

    What do you think?

If you think its a good idea, suggestions on how I go about on determining
    what to put in there?

I'm thinking I could go as simple as a Word document printed out that just
lists the birds...or a list of the birds and a small image of the different poses
    I have.

    Thanks
    Doug

Can you get away with having a laptop playing a slide show of the rest of your images?
Or have a portfolio on an Ipad to show interested customers?

I was thinking about the laptop route also. The problem is, if there's no outlet to plug into,
my laptop probably won't make it thru the whole day.

I'd prefer the laptop route cause I have broadband, so a visitor could go right to my
    site from the booth.

    No iPad, so that's out.

There's suppose to be a conference call with everyone, so the main question I'll
    have are outlets.

    Doug,

When I go to shows, 4 or 5 large ones each year, we set up easels to showcase 4 or 5 12x18 prints with backing, matting and in a sealable bag. If rules allow, we put about 300 prints in special wooden crates, each crate designed to accommodate the sized prints, 8x10, 9x12, 11x14 & 12x18. If the show has rules like the one your indicating, we just put the prints under the table, put the print list document on a plastic display holder, very similar to a card holder, so when a client asks "what else do you have" we can then show them their preferred image. Most of the show organizers know you can't put all 300 prints on display or will 5 large prints on easels satisfy the tastes of all the show shoppers. If your display is tasteful, well thought out and your attitude, most importantly, is one of eager and willful compliance, they usually bend the rules a tad to help you out.

Please let us know how you make out. A laptop would be a nice addition to the printed list AND the "boxes under the table".

The layout is starting to become a little clearer.

Each artists will be given two peg boards to place their work. I have the dimensions on photoshop and I'm playing
around with different configurations. I'm planning on 8x10's going down both sides with my larger images going
    down the middle.

We can also bring a small table.

So what I think I'm going to do is:
    1. Keep extra images under the table to replace any that might be sold.
    2. I've created a list that includes thumbnails and description of the birds.
This should allow anyone interested to take the list home or if I have
that species with me under the table, I can bring it out.
    3. Still bring my laptop. I forgot i have my car wired so it'll accept a regular
plug, so I can recharge if need be.

    We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

    Doug
