    We had a number of ptarmigan encounters while photographing the brown bears in AK.

    Hi Chas, good low angle, and I like the tip toe pose. Nicely seperated from the distant BG, and maybe a little more space below.

    Very well caught action and well placed with the other elements in the habitat - I agree a fraction more on the bottom - if poss.

    We don't often see this type of species with the wings opoen, cool! I like the wing blur, especially close to the back. Nicely balanced with the grasses at left. I could go with more room below but I suspect this is, or close to being, full-frame.

    Great action shot. It is probably quite hard to get a shot like this from that species. Wing blur is great as is the low angle.
