    While I was down in Amazonian Ecuador in January I noticed that this particular Paraque had a favourite perch to start the night out on. Just at dusk he would get up on this broken off palm and start singing. I was pleased to get this one before dinner (for both of us) one night :-)

    Very cool looking bird. Great job with that 7D. One pro to the 7D is the on board flash. Good detail and exposure, Interesting perch too. Nice capture...

    Marvellous image Glen, these aare so hard to get.
    Just for info what flash comp did you use if any I can never get it right with my 7D onbord?

    Absolutely superb image.Here in India we call it Nightjar.Never saw sitting on such beautiful perch.Always saw them on the ground.

    excellent photo of a specie we don't see often. great job with flash, eye looks natural and nice. would look even better if presented at 1024 pixels wide.
