    This was taken this morning before all the thunderstorms
    Nikon D800, 300mm 2.8 with 2.0 tc
    ISO 500, 1/2500 f8
    Stabilized on ground
    Adjustments LR4, sharpening, cloning, levels CS5
    C&C much appreciated!

    Interesting pose. Great background.
    If it were mine, I'd sharpen it a bit, plus a contrast mask. A quick mask sharpens only the bird, not the background.

    Love the pose of the bird. Very good job getting low. The shooting angle is perfect.

    I might crop a bit off the right side.

    Agree with Don about the sharpening. However his repost looks just a bit too contrasty to my taste. Maybe something "in between" on the contrast.

    Cathy,

    This is a strong picture, love the entire frame. Great colors, unique composition and original approach. I do like the repost too and might make a small clock wise adjustment and level the perch. The background is fantastic,.. love the muted green on top of the blue,..it works for me. Compelling picture and a graceful moment with nature; also goes to show that bad weather patterns can make for good photography,..keep em coming!

    Nice work Cathy, this Willet looks really nice. I do agree with the sharpening and I like Don's version. Good eye to catch the unique pose. Love the background, good job!
