Hi Andreas, this certainly has a cute factor, not a lover of the OOF seal in the BKG, for me it's a little too dominating and detracts from the real star, but at least it's not a UXB

Perhaps moving to the left (if you could) and taking some alternative shots might have been better, so you had the option of with & without the BKG seal? Nice DOF, well processed and of course, those lovely black eyes that are so adorable. Not sure about getting as close as you did, Donna has a bad reputation for photographers being a little too keen in obtaining their shot, but I know you would have taken the upmost care and consideration in this image, so no worries.

    Hi Steve thanks for watching.
First , i was behind the fence so no problem, what you mentioned to be too close. You know the place.
Second i had a lot of options , with or without the mum in the BKG, but i have chosen this version, wanted to show that mummy was looking what the youngster is doing. So some kind of story behind this image , if you want, not just a plain portrait.
Got the low POV, by just sticking the lens through the fence, that was ,luckily, already broken , at that point.

    What is a UXB ?

    Cheers Andreas

No worries Andreas, I know how Wildlife care is first & foremost in your mind. People do not realise that coming between mum & pup, or even getting another form of scent on the pup can be a death sentence sadly, as mum will abandon the pup. Good plan to access the broken fence without crossing the line. Might suggest something else for low level shooting too.

    UXB - Unexploded bomb

    Andreas,

The pup itself is a beauty, Mum in the BG does not bother me in any way.

Your pup is outstanding with wonderful details. Love the grasses surrounding it and the way he is staring right at you. Because of the way mum is turned with her posterior facing the viewer (and it is rather large in the frame) it does seem to detract from the pup. That said, I would be very happy with this capture. It's nice to know that mom is nearby and you were able to capture the adult with her head facing in.
