They fly extremely fast and are fun to watch. They got by me a bit, but I liked the BIF flock.

cool shot Dan, I have never been able to get a good frame of a flock of shorebirds, here you got many of them sharp and with a good BG but the main issue is the majority appear to be angled away from the camera and from the details it seems that this was a very big crop?

it is a tough shot to nail but with enough luck you'll get one.

    Dan:

Good points from Arash. A second or two earlier, wow. The clean separation of most birds from each other and the frame edge, not easy to capture.

    Keep working them!

    Cheers

Very nice shot. You did very well here with so many birds.
    Well done.

Nice flock shot. I try to shoot at every flock that comes my way but never get the birds all on the same focal plane. Like the green BG too. Great wing position... Good Job!!

This is a fun image to look at! The type of image that makes me wish I had been there.
Love the unusual (for shorebird flock flight shots) background. If you had shot from a lower
angle and achieved that background with the water and mud towards the bottom of the
frame, this would have been even more "wow"!

Had you only clicked that shutter only a couple of seconds earlier. I like how you got them all in the frame and don't have any birds that are cut off. Colors work nicely together also.
