I like this image Leroy. Of course it would've been nice to have the head turned slightly toward you but I like the rocks and surf in the BG.

Hi Leroy These guys can sit there for hours Would try waiting for the head angle before pressing the shutter Will get your chance

Do like the fluff feathers Might suggest more room up top and placing the bird further back in the frame For ocean bg would try making several images The surf movement makes a huge difference and all will have a different look !!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have a shot taken just before this where the bird/head is at a more oblique angle. I don't have any more room at the bottom :( and my PS skills are probably not up to the task to add more canvas on that edge.
