    Default Lesser Yelloelegs in Flight

Took this shot at JBWR east pond this past weekend. These birds take-off instantly and it was not that easy to keep them in focus.

Nice wings up position and water BG.
Unfortunately the head is a bit soft.
I have tried to get these guys in flight and it is so hard - kudos for getting this one,
    Gail

Nice comp and wings up position, but yes to the head being soft and there is a hot spot on the flanks. Not easy at all with these guys...bump up the ISO and stop down a bit as the legs and far wing look sharper and this would have perhaps helped get the head in DOF range.
