    Conditions change all the time at Bonaventure Island. Today, the wind was from the east and the birds were dropping from the sky with all the air-brakes in effect as they landed. This time of year it is rare to see birds bringing in nest material but the failed breeders will be keeping up their nests.

    This image was cropped a little from the right, dodged over the face to lighten, and sharpened.

    John, this is a great image in my book. I really like the high key look and the way the head almost blends into the sky. Nice placement in the frame also. You gotta love the determined expression, if that even makes sense!

    Beautiful image John! Love the detail in the feathers and feet--exposure looks great. Can't wait till these guys come down South.
