I like the low shooting angle as well. Sharpness and DOF are quite good. The light seems like it's getting a little strong, which makes photographing birds like this quite challenging; whites are a little hot in places and shadows are a little blocked. I'd also consider a crop with a bit less sky and a bit more rocky perch.

The angle would be helped if the sun was not so high and the light was on the eye. Great detail.

First things first; nice image of a hard to meter and capture bird. Anyone who can image this species and get clear clean eye contact deserves high praise. You can clearly see the eye and surrounding head area, and that in harsh light. Nice tones on the head area and down the backside, another plus. While the breast is approaching warm, the bottom side is nicely captured. Nice soft downey feel to this section. The one foot is sharp, toe clearly defined and while warm, no too warm so as to burn it. Low perspective is a nice departure from the norm we see these guys in. Having imaged these at Machias Seal Island many times and none this nice, this is a nice image to come away with. Well done and thanks for sharing.
