    taken this afternoon at boynton beach. i dont know why, but i really liked this one. i guess it was just the simplicity about it. would love to hear what you think.

    D300, 50-500 at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/800s, 0EV, ISO 800, handheld

    I like this one too.....and I think it's probably the simplicity. I think that it could use another round of USM. Obviously the "perches" are popular given the drippings. There seem to be some artifacts around the bird and give the 62.0 KB size I'd say that was it. It might come out better on the web if it were nearer the 150KB size limit.

    I like it too. I second Lana's suggestion that the bird, esp. the head, needs more sharpening. I am betting that a crop from the bottom (taking off half of the smaller perch) would make this much, much stronger...
