    Default Crested Bunting: Male.

    Picture was taken yesterday on Sinhgad Fort at Pune, (4320ft/1317meters) in the afternoon.
    Bird suddenly landed near me where I was sitting. Cropped, sharpened and NR applied to BG.OOF perch behind the bird on right side is removed.

    Canon: 550D, 100-400.
    F: 5.6, 1/500, ISO: 500, evaluating metering, White balance: Auto. HH.
    Exposure bias: +1.33 stop.

    Very nice portrait with complementary bg. I would prefer with little more perch to retain the balance of the composition.

    Nice image of this interesting bird. I see some sharpening halo. Would crop a bit off the top.

    Thanks for the kind comments.Yes there is sharpening halo.Here is another image with less sharpness and crop at the top.

    Such a gorgeous portrait, love the head turn and the comp. Repost is definitely an improvement.

    Hi Satish, well exposed on this fellow, and I like the inquisitive pose. Well placed in the frame, lovely colours in your BG, and your repost has turned out nicely. Having said that, although you have reduced the sharpening to get rid of the halo, I would try and selectively sharpen him a touch more.

    Any halo aside, this is very nice Satish, really like the inquisitive posture and look, very good exposure on the blacks especially and liking the way the background color tones mirror the bird's wings...great looking bird !

    These are not very common birds.Even though resident,seasonally migrates.There are 5 pairs with their kids on fort,I spend 6 hours to photograph them on perch,could not get single picture.
    I will try again in next week,when there is no rain.
