    I found a lonesome yellowlegs (lesser?) at a shallow, muddy pond this morning, feeding among many mallards. It is the only yellowlegs I've seen in the last couple months. The image is cropped and sharpened in LR3.

    Fabulous image.I like the composition and placement of bird.Wish raised foot was without mud.
    Love the pose,lights,details and beautiful water rings around leg.

    I actually like the mud-covered foot! I'd tame the blown highlight on it though. From this higher vantage point I would have preferred to see the reflection if it was there and available to include. I'd say yes to Lesser based on bill lenght and shape (straight).
