    Default Adult kite

After photographing juveniles, I had an opportunity to photograph adult kites last week. I was lucky the kite banked towards me while calling. I am enjoying my new 600 II which keeps impressing me with excellent servo tracking. My trusty 500 is now looking for a new home!

The light and open beak put this over the top. The HD version is great!

Great pic as usual perfect timing :-)

BG is superb; I am left wondering how you get these forest backdrops on your pics I guess you must have access to a location where you are standing on the edge of a valley and the greenery is back aways?

    Arash:

Well exposed, sharp, great calling pose, good BG.

I might try to soften the shadow of the head slightly, and for personal taste would give a sliver more room to the left, even at the cost of making it a bit more squarish. The wings create such a strong diagonal that I think it would tolerate the extra canvas well.

    Cheers

Hi Ari, tack sharp, love the eye contact with those red eyes, and the open beak a bonus. I like the diagonal flight pose, and against a lovely BG.

I will send you my postal address - it shouldnt take too long for you to post your 500 to me. You did say you would give it to me for an early Christmas present.

Killer frame Arash! I like the shadow of the bill on the wing, the eye contact, and the calling pose.

Great wing pose. The calling pose is fantastic. Maybe he was saying "What a nice lens you got!"

Beautiful light on the banking kite, and awesome IQ as usual. Another formatting option: move the bird a little bit down in the frame to make room for the magazine title on the cover.
