I didn't get any decent image for a couple of months now so headed to the local park this arvo determined to get something. Even a shot of this common bird made me reasonably happy...

    Ofer:

Lovely light, low shooting angle, exposure, sharpness, and wild hair do.

The colors in the BG work well with the various hues of the bird.

    Cheers

Common maybe for you, but it's a beautiful photograph. Sweet light, lovely colors, and a touch of humor with that crazy crest.

Hi Ofer, sweet, sweet light, and just love the hair do. I really like the colours on the wing, together with the colours of the BG. Your low angle works well too.

Lovely light and the iridescent feathers look like opal inlay. Love the hint of raspberry red as well.
I like the fun raised crest and complimentary BG.Excellent IQ.

lol lol...these birds drive me nuts, they poop everywhere lol

Nice one Ofer, the golden light is nice but I don't think it has captured the colored wing segment quite right, a little too much glare from the blue/green

Interesting bird. Like the pose and the sweet light. I'm +/- on the grass, but at least the shallow DOF minimizes the visual impact of it.

Cool! I'm OK with the grass, especially with the low angle and fabulous background. I like to photograph the common birds around here too...

Stunning image and bird. If the grass is this bird's environment, then no issues with the grass for me. Stunning light, back ground and what a crown! Nice low angle. You have really given us a great look at this maybe common bird for you but pretty novel for us.

What a stunner, Ofer, both the bird and your image. Awesome low angle, and love the irridescence and the light and the complementary background. Comp is perfect. Just a super portrait.

Ofer, your low angle helps to eliminate the mowed grass look to me as well as created a sweet bg. Nice looking bird too and your repost works better IMO
