    Default Western Meadowlark

I photographed this Meadowlark while in Yellowstone late last spring. I love the pose and the BG, and I can still hear that beautiful song.

Great singing pose, details and BG. I would raise the color temperature a bit.

Outstanding singing pose and the perch is fantasic. It could perhaps be a tiny bit darker. Or it could be my monitor at work. Nevertheless, a wonderful, expressive pose and image.

    Doug,
Very nice composition and exposure, like the colors on the bird and the background.
The bird placement and perch is fantastic...:D

Great shot! What is the background? It's doesn't look like the typical meadowlark habitat. Once again, I am envious!

Thanks for the compliment Dan. It was a tree branch on an overturned log in the middle of a field. The BG was quite distant. The only PS work I did on the BG was noise reduction.

A superb image Doug beautifully composed. Capturing in full song mode was a real bonus and puts it over the top for me!!

Nice pose and perch. I like the grayish/cool BG as its a different look for these guys.
