    Default Grungy Lotus Leaf

I've been working on my lotus photos all week and finally getting around to posting some of them. I just finished this one which I really like. I started with Nik Tonal contrast and then Topaz Adjust to boost the colors, then I added several effects in Perfect Effects, converted a duped layer to black lines with smart blur and then ran Topaz Clean on the lines and blended them with multiply mode. Whew! I had to save it at only 23 quality due to all the detail!

I would love to see the un-reduced image with all those intricate lines and colors. Lots of effective processing with an intriguing result. I especially like the contrasting effect of the spidery parts with the bits of black showing through.

Thanks Nancy. I really liked all the detail and the contrasting colors in it.

Very cool Judy, the colors and the pattern work well together. It almost looks like spin art!

Thanks Denise! Speaking of spin, I tried the twirl filter in Ps and almost kept it but I wasn't completely thrilled with it. I tried all of the distort filters but they were a bit over the top. I came up with some interesting abstracts though!

Judy, this has an otherworldly look to it that I like - kind of outer-spacey? Love the colors and patterns - I'd like to see some of the abstracts you came up with

Thanks Cheryl! I didn't keep any but I could run those filters again. I'll give it a shot. I should try the old Pixel Bender in CS5, I liked it a lot for the twirl and droste effects.
