Hello, stopped by South Haven, Michigan this evening for the blueberry festival. Of course, took the camera. Shot this Ring Billed Gull with a little attitude. Thanks for looking and appreciate and comments.

    Gary:

Def. has an attitude here, or indigestion

Nice light, well exposed, light the modeling effect from the light angle, good head angle, soft BG.

    Well captured.

    Cheers

Hi Gary, good feather detail captured here, and overall well exposed too. I like how the colour of the eye matches the colour of the bill. Great BG too.

Nicely exposed with great feather detail. The speckled eye is a good focal point.

Nice portrait, detail and exposure is very good too, liking especially the light and sharpness of the beak

Wonderful shot. Excellent pose, exposed very well, love the expression, and excellent details.
    Well done.

I like the attitude and the details in the feathers. Was the bird this grey? The eye is usually more yellow and the bill too in adult birds which this guy looks to be (although less so than in breeding plumage). Seems to me the image may need more saturation or warmer WB.

Thanks you all for your comments! Daniel, you are correct, normally these have a greater yellow tone to the eye and bill. I am not sure why but this particular gull did not. The attached shot shows another gull taking within minutes of the first with the colors you would expect, but he/she did show the attitude.

    Thanks again, Gary.
