Bird on a stick, but I was very excited about the framing lines. Critique if you would like, thank you!

Excellent image.I like the framing lines too.Beautiful bird with calling pose on nice perch.Love the colors and details in blacks.
Wish HA towards viewers, though nice eye contact and catch light. Wish you could have included EXIF data and camera model.

    Regards,
    Satish.

    Gloria,
I really wish the reeds/grass here in Africa would behave in a similar manner

Lovely looking bird, just wish it had turned a little more towards you. Detail is exceptional!

Thank you very much! I have a number of frames that have the head shift toward the camera but for some reason all detail was zapped from the face. Just blackness and I'm waaaay behind on my PS skills :) Thanks so much!!

    Hi Gloria:

This capture is very nicely exposed with a lot of details in the blacks. The BG works well here since it is so indicative of this species. Agree that a turn toward the viewer would have been preferable for this calling pose. The perch works nicely.

If you have any questions with PP, feel free to ask them here or in the digital workflow forum. Processing is without a doubt my least favorite part of photography but, unfortunately, it's almost as important as the picture taking.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
