Have not been able to get out and photograph in a while, so I have been "mining" the old files to see what can be pulled out.

Mitch, I'm torn about the bright green band behind the sailboat - I think it would make a lovely abstract without the boat with a substantial crop from the bottom - just the bands of color. But, I like it as it is and if it fits your vision I'm all for it I just happen to be in an abstract mood.

yes, that green band grabbed me at first, too. I think the contrast between the abstract of that and the realistic approach of the ship seems difficult. Not sure what I'd do to remedy that. Just commenting I like the darkness of the cloud and the darkness of the bottom water working together to frame the photo.

Good repost! Now the boat seems to be in the water instead of on top of it. I also like the "moodiness" of this image, with the darker bkgd and the glowing whites on the sails & water.

Mitch, I love the whimsical feel of the first one and the moody look of the second. I have a slight preference for the repost!
