    The end of the series of shots I managed of this sudden appearance on Lake Manze channel Selous Game Reserve Tanzania 7th July 2012 According to the EXIF the whole flight lasted 1 second

    Lovely light and habitat, Ken. What great luck to have found this pelican. Like seeing the feet up and the few water drops behind. Comp works. Wish the wings had been more symmetrical from an aesthetic point of view.

    Nice habitat and light. Colours look good. Some hot spots on the thighs though, and I think the image may need a bit of CCW rotation. Love the webbed feet!!

    Hi Ken, lovely low angle from your boat, and just love the landing pose. I do like the overall light and colours, and the single bug adds interest. Another vote for some CCW rotation.
