Hi Saurav, nice to all these bears posted and this one from Russia too.
You caught the bear well, with that intense stare and the focus, as you say, locked on, to the salmon coming in on the RHS.Nice position within frame, although I think you could shave some off the top working on a 900 x 450px format. Is this FF or cropped? Splashing water, especially 'frozen' by the camera can be tricky and I would suggest you ease off on the sharpening as it looks too sharp IMHO, but leave the bear as is. Colour also looks good & well balance, although you could if you wish just add perhaps a hint more saturation, optional and a couple of points of black in both the Neutral & Blacks.I might also suggest running just a small amount of NR on the trees down to the water line, but just a fraction. Sadly it's the land jutting out that detracts for me, nothing you could have done, but in an ideal world just to have had the water would have been ideal.
I will send you an option, let me know if you would like me to include this in the thread.

Saurav,
I can remember you posting some images of bears from Russia, last year which I really liked.
This is another one
To me it looks slightly over-sharpened and perhaps this has made the noise in the trees seem more obvious, I would try to reduce this by whatever method you favour if it is still there after reduction in sharpening.
Great action, did you by any chance get anything with the Salmon a little more visible?
Way to go. Nice action in sweet light.
Chas
I'm with Chas, like the action and know how rare it is to get light like that on brown bears.
this is for Ken
similar details as the OP
Thanks
I like this and the sharpening looks OK to my eye. Pose is wonderful. I'm impressed that you were shooting brown bears with 200mm FF! I'm not sure I have the nerve to get that close!
Saurav.
I guess the answer is yes, and that all that running by the bear proved to be worthwhile, very nice, thanks very much
Hi Sanjeev
Just for the record and not a big deal, but for the future please be aware that one of the forum guidelines prohibits the posting of different images in the same critique thread. It would have been better to have kept it for new thread.
cheers
Steve

I am sorry for the double post Steve. Didn't know the rule hence the folly!
That's fine.
