    A Masked Finch taken last month in NE Northern Territory, Australia. It was interesting following these birds. It was a warm afternoon and they were feeding in mottled shade and knew exactly where the shade was and only briefly strayed into full sunlight.

    Magnificent image of Finch in natural environment.
    Love the pose of cute bird with beautiful colors,nice open beak,pink legs and great details.

    Hi Colin, good low angle, and the little guy seems well aware of you with the inquisitve angled head. Love the multi coloured head and beak, and great eye too. I would maybe take a bit off the top.

    Difficult conditions obvious with heat haze in the backdrop, darn tough subjects Finches, this ones showing nice detail and colour....sighhhhh...another one I have not got on my list yet
