    Default Very simple Mountain Bluebird

    I took several photos of mountain bluebirds last week, always trying for something new and different. The birds did not cooperate but several, like this one, did offer a traditional pose.

    Laurie,
    This is lovely.
    Simple and elegant.
    I like the perch. Just when I am starting to get tired of BOAS ( bird on a stick) image a beautiful one like this comes along and rekindles the fire for this kind of picture.
    The HA isn't quite perfect for the HA police but I like it as it makes the bird look very pensive,
    Well done,
    Gail

    Lovely bird with great colors, details and BG. I think I would prefer this in a vertical if you have the space.

    I Like This.. a nice BG Gives the bird good contrast against it. Good exposure and details. Like the perch too.
    Bird needs a bath and a good preening. a little ratty on the chest but that has nothing to do with your clean photography. Nice job as usual!!

    Hi Laurie, striking colours captured, and posed against a lovely smooth BG. Hope you have room below, as I would go with a vertical too.

    Looks like this bird fell into a bucket of paint, just love seeing these overseas feathered friends ! Vertical composition....yes I think I agree.

    Certainly an ultra smooth backdrop too, and probably not worth me saying it, and no doubt everyone will disagree...but sometimes I find the ultra smooth backdrops are a bit too much....{ I'll just go stand in the corner now and hang my head in shame, please don't throw stones at me hehehe }

    Nice pose and lovely background. Another vote for a vertical presentation.

    I agree with the others - clean and sharp - face detail really stands out nicely.
