A quite common species in eastern Australia, but I have never been able to get a good image of them. That changed yesterday and I finally got something I am quite happy with. :)

    Jan:

    Congrats on catching this one.

Sharp, well exposed, fun pose, great eye, angle in frame.

Interesting framing from the vegetation. Wish the leaves not quite so close to the tail, but still very nice. Pleasant BG.

    Cheers

Stunning portrait in every way. I love the BG, the vegetation, the lovely pose and colors of the bird. Love to see that tip of the tongue too.

Jan, fantastic work!! Pleasing in every way. How did you lure the bird onto the perch...or did it choose to perch there on its' own?

I used tape. Usually birds are not that nice and sit on perches like that ;)
