    Default African jacana

This picture was taken in harsh light, would've preferred more catch light. Took this IMG at a resort in warmbaths South Africa.

Lovely clean BG, which is hard to do with these guys. Great low POV and I really like the raised foot and water droplets.
I don't find the light harsh.
I wish the HA was better but still a great image,

Hi Nico, the detail in the feathers is good, agree about the catch light in the eye - pity!! The background is nice and clean, nice image!!

Hi Nico, good low angle of capture, and I like the raised foot with the trailing droplets. You have brought out the colours nicely, and really like the BG. Maybe a little more room below, and wish he turned his head towards you.

Great catching up the other day.

The bird did not cooperate with his head angle but it looks like you did everything right. Love the low angle, background and water drops. are all great

Nico, I can only echo the previous comments - great image, great perspective, love the droplets but shame about the head angle. I would consider adding a catchlight - the eye looks very dead.

    Nico,

Remarkably clean BG, rarely seen with this bird, great detail and colours. The only thing missing is a catch light, but you cannot have everything (well very rarely)

Great low angle, lily pad and water droplets. Head angle mentioned. Some fill flash on a beamer at capture would reduce the contrast, opening up the shadows and adding a catchlight. Good job to get this, Nico.

Hey Nico...Great low angle and good PP and IQ. Love the colors and the BG...HA could be better but I would still be pretty happy with this one!

Hi Nico, I like the very low angle and raised foot. H/A could have been better but still work nicely TFS.
