This was taken last week at a local nature center. I was lucky this guy posed above the grass with his dinner. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

The meal turns a "bird on a stick" photo into a stunning image. Great exposure and detail as well as a super BG. Just love the little bit of leaves in the LRC. Sooooo glad you left that in.

I agree wholeheartedly with Joe's comments. A stunner! The grass adds magic as does the tasty-looking grub. I'm drooling!

Jim, this is the most striking image I have seen of this species for a long time.
I know how hard it is to shoot them, as I try it every year.
    Excellent work!!!

Jim, I like the image very much...Exposure, sharpness, details in white are good and bug is bonus. Love the vertical comp and inclusion of habitat...

This is a killer image, Jim. The comp you chose is perfect! The light is stunning. Love the meal! Like the perch very much and the grasses included. The bird even sat in the perfect spot on the perch. What more could you ask for?

Everything came together for you in this photo. The composition with all of the extras, in the right places make this outstanding.

    Well done Jim!
It has all been said but my favorite part of this is the composition and the leaves in RLC,

Hi Jim, good comp, with the sparrow giving you a lovely show off pose with his meal. I really like the DOF in the whole image together with all fine sharp detail. Great work Jim.
