Hi there! This is a beautiful shrike, and I love the bugs! They 'add interest', as folks on the forum like to say. I would love to see some more room around this fine fellow, as he feels squished-in and needs some room to breathe, so to speak?

I agree the bird needs more room especially on the left.
I would also brighten the picture a bit.
Personally I would clone out the bugs but I still like it as is.

    Sanjeev,

Well this is considerably better than the one I posted the other week, I agree it needs a little more room.

Just looked again and it does not appear to be the same bird as my Grey Headed Fiscal, in fact I have no idea what it is given the fact that the black stripe goes all the way to the back. No doubt one of our experts in identification can clear this up.

Hi Sanjeev, I like the soft light, which in turn has brought out the colours nicely. The perch has lots of character, but I find the angle a bit steep. IMHO, I dont feel the bugs add anything.
