Default I'm very dissappointed of Canon Services (CPS)

Most recently I needed a minor repair of a Canon 7D.
It took them about two weeks.
    I'm a CPS member.
It is specified in the contract, that the repair time is six days or less.
    Finally I got the camera.
I had to return it immediately as it had a misalignment issue.
I week or so later, one of my flash units died on me.
I took it to the Service.
They promised that they would phone me when the repair is done.
    They never did.
    Finally I phoned them.
Than they said it was ready a couple days ago.
I went and picked it up.
It worked for a few days, now it is dead again.
I have to tell you that if I did not have so much money invested into Canon equipment, I would switch to Nikon in a split second.
Have you realized, that there is only one Service for the entire Country now, located in Mississauga?
Montreal and Vancouver locations are gone. I'm very very dissappointed of Canon.

I've had an issue or two w/ them and I got the head honcho's on the phone. Chuck Westfall and the guy who runs CPS USA. Problems got solved real fast.

Maybe you could call and talk to someone?

    Thanks, Jason.
    Sound like a good idea.
I'll try to talk to the head of the local service here in Mississauga first. If it doesn't work then I'll have to find as to who the representative of Canon is in Canada.

I know it's not a repair, but I used CPS USA (Irvine) to C&C my 5D MkII before I sold it. I sent it in on Wednesday and had it back on Friday. I'm "Gold" level.

Very unusual service based on my experience over many years with CPS USA. I've always had excellent service and the the times they didn't get things right they took very good care of me. Things may be different in Canada??

I returned the flash unit and talked to the Supervisor.
    (The Manager was not available)
I got an apology and the repaired flash was delivered to my door in two days.
What shoud I say; I wish it had been done like this on the first time.

I have always had good experience with CPS and CPS is one of the reasons I chose Canon. They just updated my 600 firmware in 48 hours round trip. They provided free in bound shipping too.

It seems that everybody has good experience in USA. I have received private emails. People indicated that they had good and bad experiences here.
So did I. In fact I praised their service a couple of years ago on NSN.
This time I had to return the 580 flash unit second time.
The receptionist lady talked to the manager on my behalf as I couldn't reach her.
I'm getting a brand new flash now, and got an apology as well.
They are very nice and I understand that they don't have control over the technicians and their work, the receptionist ladies, they are.
