    Hand held (shame on me again!)
    Canon 50D
    Canon 180mm macro
    ISO 800 1/160 sec f8 -0.3 fill in flash -1.3
    NR to the green area, the petals were given a little linear burn.
    Another first for me, not a particularly scarce species but I have never seen one before.

    Perfectly composed in the frame I think, and the fine detail on the wings is exceptional,

    Hi Jonathan. Very nice comp and background! Also, nice pose and good sharpness on your butterfly - though the wings tips are just a bit soft - I think a little more sharpening in that are will cure things. This is very well done!

    Jonathan: You do a good job hand-holding your camera. Nice details on the wings. Pleasing composition. Lovely smooth green bg. I would say a good job!
