    These two were not very cooperative in getting into grass free (almost) areas, this is the best I got.

    Taken in Kidepo National Park, Northern Uganda 17th June 2012

    Net looking birds. Are they in the Francolin family. Nice natural setting. Good exposure too.

    Hi David,

    Well I would say so but my book says "superficially similar to francolins, but not closely related"

    Hi Ken, another spurfowl that Ive never seen before. The grasses arent too busy not to see their colours, and I feel going lower wouldnt have worked out.
