From the other evening at JBWR. Conditions were a bit breezy so not much still water for reflections. Still good to see some new species coming through.

Good exposure and sharpness, and I like the molting plumage, but the image needs lots of CCW rotation.

Nice image, I agree about the rotation, it looks a bit over sharpened to me.

    I also dig that plumage!
Besides the ccw rotating issue, a lower shooting angle would have improved the image imo,...
might as well ignore the reflection opps here, as you eluded too...

Liking the ripples on the otherwise smooth water, nice detail and glint of water on the tip of beak work for me, yes needs a slight rotation CCW

Nice image. Good detail. Maybe bump up the saturation a little. Good job.

Agree re : CCW rotation and increasing the saturation a bit.
    Good pose and POV.
I see a couple of spots under the tail to the right. I'm not sure what they are but would clean them up as well.
I would also remove the highlight on the tip of the bill as well.

I like the setting. I would lose the vignetting, decrease sharpening, and add quite a bit of CCW rotation.

Nice picture, Joe. The light must have been dim as it did not bring in too much colour in the plumage.
Or is it the colour of the bird this time of the year?
