    I don't normally go out of my way to photograph Turkey Vultures, but this one was catching the light beautifully as he came in to his roost just after sunrise on Alafia Bank last January.

    D7000, 500f4, ISO 800, 1/500s @ f/8 manual, gitzo and mongoose

    Wonderful shot. I just love their massive wing span and you have captured that very well. Excellent feather detail, lovely light, and great comp.

    I absolutely love the serrations on the primaries!! Great light and pose. They are graceful in flight and your image depicts that nicely.

    Nice exposure here Bill, they usually just look very black against the sky, nice work getting the detail right on this underrated bird.
