The heavy foliage certainly does distract somewhat, but it has created a rather nice vignette with this B&W conversion Hilary.
But let's not be too picky here, this is a sight we don't often see and is to be savoured.

Thanks Marc for your generosity … trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear is problematic but somedays you just take what you can get.

Hilary,
A "typical" Caracal sighting, why dies it always happen?
I find the bright centre just a little too bright.

Ken, I could possibly tone it down but I don't think the image warrants any more effort sadly. Just have to keep trying to find another one.

Hi Hilary, firstly great to see you back on this part of the Forum and as we can always count on presenting something in a different way.
Not too sure how much you can critique on this, purely because of the choice of medium for me. Certainly because of the starkness it is very 'graphic' and 'striking' and if you have pushed the vignetting then for me, it has worked, funnelling the eye to the subject. If the edges were more irregular it could almost have a Banksy 'look & feel', now there's a thought?
Hope to see more soon.
