A tiny bird of the more arid regions where there is a lot of prickly understory vegetation, this one about 1500klm from Adelaide in the harsh inland of Oz.

Not ideal light, but having to make do with what one can get on fleeting holidays away. Not ideal camera settings, a quick grab shot after shooting a different bird against a bright sky seconds before and not changing settings

    Hi Phil,

Except for the head angle, I really liked the grab shot of this beautiful bird.

What a beautiful bird. Nice job in a scramble. Great pose and clean BG . HA could be a little better but what can you do. Good capture.

These are just downright gorgeous PC. Seen a few of yours with both the female and male, outstanding birds, colours and shots. This is no exception. Excellent.

All the best and yep, send a couple over thanks.

Love the colours here, and they pop nicely against the grayish BG!! I love the angled tail to go with the diagonal perch. HA mentioned, and I would have preferred the subject a bit more to the left. I loe this type of light, nothing wrong with it!
