Nice pose and light. It looks a bit soft on my monitor and I find the foliage at the right side distracting. The bird looks like a red-shouldered hawk.

yes this is a red shoulded, I have hundreds of shots of these guys, this is one of the few that is not against a blue sky, If this looks soft Im going to have to recalibrate my display AGAIN LOL, who said $1000 eizo monitors are any good!
I would like arts opinion on the sharpness if possible, as I have noticed over the years that photos are getting sharper and sharper to the point that some look unreal, sharpening can be like a drug :)

A nice flight image of a red-shouldered hawk. I agree with Axel's comments. If it were mine, I would remove the branches along the right edge of the frame. I am noticing some kind of outline around the tail, in front of the beak, and in front of the left wing.

Hi Marcus - very nice flight capture of the Red-shouldered!! Sharpness looks fine on my monitor.
I also note the narroe zone, particularly around the tail. Did you apply blur to BG? Still an image with lots of impact!!

Hi John, Yes I did run a heavy neat image on the background layer, then erased the bird, I am getting kind of sloppy with my PP for the web....
    Thanks much....
