Here is my latest Little Owl image taken recently.

The activity at the site is slowing down now as the owlets have all left the nest.

This one was taken in the late evening light.

    Canon 1DMK4, 800mm, f5.6, 1/1600, ISO800

    Cheers

    Austin

Excellent striding pose, low angle, and a nice exposure considering the sunlit BG.

    Well done

The stride in mid-air makes this image.
The clean BG really allows the eye to go directly to the owl.
The diagonal ground line makes this image a bit different.
    I like it,
    Gail

I might make the left side of the owl a bit brighter. I am not sure about the textureless foreground.

But that is small stuff - excellent capture!!

Hi Austin, great to see them still performing, can they be hired out?

Great low POV, cracking 'stepping out' pose and love the BKG because of the colour and uniqueness of it.

As I said, you'll love the 1DX, once you get used to it , but keep the IV too, awesome some combination. Let me know how you get on, am around if you need to talk.

Thanks all for your comments and feedback.

@Steve - Give me a call when you are in the area but probably a bit late for this season. 1D-X is looking good. Still reading the manual.

    Cheers

Hi Austin a super shot love the pose and the techs are spot on. My only negative comment would be regard to the forground, would it be possible to add some texture eg. do you have other shots you could take the foreground and transplant, or if this was a crop could you possibly clone?

Great shot. Your low angle really works well and the walking pose ... too cool.

Hi Austin, will do. A few things have changed in the new set-up of the 1DX and great to have two CF slots, just need to have fingers tuned like a piano player to quickly access those buttons. Am around this weekend if you want to chat.
