    Default Another Harlequin

This is the closest I have been to one of these guys--but, alas the light was not the best.
(sheesh-not the best!--it is snowing here in Seattle!)

Beautiful bird, one in which I have not had a photo op with, I think you did very well under what looks like very moody conditions, you may hear ( a bit too centered or too tight of a crop) But I really am a bit jealous...

Thanks, Marcus! I actually added a bit of canvas as this was so near full frame. Maybe next time I'll get better light. These guys are beginning to tolerate me a little.

A beautiful bird, Bonnie - you have a way with ducks, it seems. Since you mentioned adding canvas - I note a few repeating patterns along the right edge from cloning or quick masking that you might want to touch up a bit.

Nice job Bonnie. I agree about the cloning artifacts. Also, I think the water may be a tad bright.

Great to find a not overly skittish harlequin. Looks good considering the poor light. Maybe some selective sharpening of the head.

Bonnie, beautiful shot. You might try adding a cooling filter to bring out the blues a little more. Either way I really like it.
