    Default Thirsty !!

After a long day in the bush, these elephants looked thirsty when they arrived at Klein Namoutoni WH in Etosha. I do not know how many times i tried, to find a big herd . But that day i had luck , something like 40 elephants arrived and came for a drink.

I like the earthy tones on them Andreas, good procession too. Some heat haze visible in the BG but that's to be expected in a place like Etosha, it doesn't look like it's affected sharpness of your subjects.
I like the little one's upcurled trunk and the low angle you managed to shoot at.

If anything I wish for the "whole ear" of the ellie on the RHS (tough, I know ) and perhaps a touch more space on the LHS as well...

Hi Andreas, would echo Morkels comments, but also, I really like the vibrancy of the whole image and the Elephants almost have a 3D quality. Good tones and the shadows have been rendered with care and attention, likewise the sharpening. Crop selection works well too.

I really like the Pano presentation and the use of side lighting that produces the shadows that give the image depth. Well done

    Andreas,

Nice detail on here aided by the tiny amount of local white dust, you have avoided the traditional glare from the white rocks as well.

My only wish would have been a bit wider or a sufficient gap between Ellies so that you could have cropped the RHS Elephant.

Etosha is a great place for Elephants second only to Hwange in my opinion.

I love it, great PP and the detail is fantastic... Seems like a typical scene from Etosha! Excellent!

If it's FF then I think the crop is the best you could have done with the focal length you had. No need to go back...but if you must, I'm sure you won't mind
