    Taken on Skomer Island, West Wales UK, one of about 130,000 breeding pair - 1/3rd of the Worlds population. Taken around 03:38 as the birds will only visit the island to feed their chick when it is really dark to avoid predation from the big Gulls. Image taken using a big soft-box and processed to maintain the nightime atmosphere. Plenty of birds to chose from but finding one in a decent BG is more of a problem.
    Equipment:- Canon 1D Mk1V, EF70-200 f2.8 IS Mk11 used at 170mm Manual exp. 1/200th sec. Flash manually set to +3

    Nice job with the softbox. Might tone down the rock as it seems to be a bit bright.
