Gorgeous snake and nice shooting angle. I like the blur on the tip of the tongue...Looks like it could be part of the Cobra family!

Hi Joe, would echo Dumays comments, lovely specimen and the habitat/colour works perfectly. Personally I think you could still apply a bit more USM to the head and perhaps shave some BKG off the top.

You were close, Joe!! Lovely detail and soft light. Agree on sharpening the head slightly...

Wonderful angle and pose I really like the use of OOF elements to frame the subject

Nice one Joe, looks good, where was it taken as I know a lot of people go to Cannock Chase.

Cheers Joe, might be worth looking out for David Williams, as he is in the New Forest and you might have some things in common.

BTW, Please note, that in joining BPM as a member, your images will automatically qualify for Image of the week selection, worth the small joining fee perhaps?

    Hi Joe,
excellent snake portrait with super low angle and an excellent BKG. Nice processing with good sharpness and detail, the only nit i have is that i would tone down the BKG a bit.

    Cheers Andreas
