    Great job to get such a sharp flight image, Don. Some technical details regarding camera, lens, exposure etc would be nice to maximise constructive advice. I suspect some + exposure compensation would have been worth considering as it looks like you have had to open the shadowed areas in post which has brought up a bit of noise. Well done on this small, speedy species.

    Using Canon mk4 with 300mm f2.8 with 2.0ex handheld, s/s 1/1600 iso 500 f.7.1 ex com +2.3 i did tweek curves of head a little and sharpen a touch in photoshop many thanks for comment and viewing much Appreciated Don.

    Nice capture Don and good detail especially as you mention it's with the 2x TC which does affect IQ to some extent. Very difficult bird to get in flight. How much of a crop was this if I might ask?

    hi Mark 50% crop could have it smaller really but thats just choice i also think with this shot anymore light would have blown lights on body many thanks for viewing and kind comment i do have my own sight with lots of inflight shots with all exif please take alook if you have time Don.
