I know I have posted a shot like this from my other years leading trips to Barrow. The King Eider just makes for a great head portrait.

Matthew, I have always enjoyed your King Eider shots. this one is quite stunning. the light, the details, the colors. Incredible stuff.

The transitions in the BG that your super low angle has captured take it the extra steps up the ladder.

This bird is incredibly beautiful to start with. Love your composition, the low angle and the colors. I know the multiple cachlight is normal, still seems a bit strange. Very nice work.

Insanely beatiful, Matthew. The crazy good light, gorgeous water, tri-colored bg, killer IQ, sweet bird, nice low angle ... I could go on and on.
    Doesn't get any better.

Strikingly beautiful picture, Matthew. I like the low shooting angle.Tthe composition is very pleasing.
The layered background where the colours are nicely bleeding into the next layer makes this image very special.
    The bird looks fantastic.

Everyone has said it, but let me add my voice to the accolades. Tremendous portrait, love the details, the background, your comp, and that swell of water.
