    I did some linear burn and dodge to deal with the light or lessen the effect of the hars light.
    I worked on the eye as per "eye doctor" to bring out more details.
    The very bottom right was a blowned out white rock that I filled op with the layers above.

    Terrific composition Karl. Owing to the look down pose, the viewer's eye flows nicely through the image absorbing all the details. Well done.

    excellent PP job...no traces left behind.

    Beautiful head portrait of this puffin, just love that head angle, and the composition you have here, Karl. Great detail you have in your blacks, and nice job compensating for the harsh light in your PP work.

    Great shot, Karl. Nice pose, good comp, and great job on the exposure to get all the detail in the blacks -- no mean feat in the harsh light of Machias. Well done.

    Love the composition and the nice detail in both blacks and whites. Seems like the blacks could go a little blacker though.

    very nice pose and details, I agree blacks need to be adjusted to look black. you did well in somewhat harsh light
