    Taken in March, 2011. (JPEG image).Cropped, sharpened and NR applied to BG.

    Canon: 550D, 100-400.
    F: 9.0, 1/500, ISO: 1000.
    Spot metering, White balance: Auto. Exposure bias: +0.3 stop. HH.

    Satish, This is beautiful capture. Nice head turn, sharp and well exposed. Harsh light is evident but you handled it well..I would tone down the harsh light in patches on perch.

    Hi Satish, super pose, and I like the striking colour on him. The White eye is nice and sharp, although there are areas where it has shown up a touch crispy. Plumage on certain birds tend to not accept a lot of sharpening, and in those cases, I would start off with a lighter amount of sharpening, and then selectively sharpen the areas that count. In that way, you will not end up with 'crispy' areas. Hope that helps.

    A tad oversharpened, but a fine image nevertheless. These aren't easy to capture with a short focal length. Great job indeed. Terrific pose.

    I might have placed a bird a little more to the left.

    Well done Satish. Excellent "over the shoulder". I agree with the previous comments - on my monitor it looks just a bit over-sharpened. Seems like you tamed the harsh light very nicely.
