    First time I have seen this one in real life the colours are far my beautiful than seen in this image.

    Taken in Kidepo National Park, Northern Uganda, 17th June 2012

    Marvelous image of beautiful Bustard.Very nice habitat.BG colors are complimenting to bird.
    Love the pose,lights,beautiful colors and great details on bird.I like the composition too.

    nice pose and a bird we don't see often. I'd be tempted to run some NR on the BG to smoothen the bokeh a bit

    Hi Ken, good looking Bustard - very different in colours to our Kori Bustard. The pose shows off the colours of his neck nicely, and you were fortunate that he kept still for a shot, as these guys seem to be very skittish.

    I like the pose and eye contact. Light looks a bit harsh.

    Ken, thanks for sharing a new species. love bustards. Nice head turn and pose. Pity about the leaves in the FG...but I'd take that any day for a rare bird :-)

    Thanks everybody for your kind comments they are much appreciated.

    I really hope to see these again in better light with less grass, I am planning a return to Kidepo early next year, there are some amazing birds there, and the park is a scenic paradise.
