Taken in my yard today, not a set up, no flash, overcast skies, thus the muted look and high ISO.

    1/2000, F5.6, ISO 1600, 500mm (300 w/1.7x), HH, D800

Enhanced the catchlight (did not enlarge, just brightened) NR on BG, 30% of original.
    The flower is a Salvia.

Hi Dan, you have great visitors to your garden. I like your comp, good feeding pose from the HB, and you have done well with the soft light. There are areas between the petals showing a touch of noise.

I love the flowers and the bird, Dan. The background is a bit dark IMO.

    Well done, Dan!
Your background is fine for this iamge - it provides good definition for the edges of the bird.

I love natural light hummer shots. Great pose here. The only nit I have is the colorless background with the dark bar.

Aside from the dark bar in the background ....which doesn't really catch my eye all that much...this is about as good as they get Dan. Perfect composition with the vivid flowers against a muted backdrop, and the bird is wonderfully sharp and detailed. Very much liking the opposing diagonals created by the flower stem and bird....9.999/10 is my score.
