    It always nice to get the subject doing something other than just posing. I like that you've gotten him preening. What you needed here was for the sun to be at your back so that it would have lit up the bird to give some nice detail. I might crop the top of the image to eliminate the shore.

    Very nice capture and action Raymond. agree also in croping the top portion and cloning out the bird's reflection on top...:D

    Hey Raymond,
    I took the liberty of doctoring up your image by cropping the shore line and cloning out the reflection of the bird on top, I added a little bit of contrast, saturated the pelican just a tad and sharpened him just a notch... Now you can work on selective high lighting the inner dark areas of the wings... This was taken under very harsh lighting conditions, perhaps you could have taken him at a different angle...:cool:

    For me the image is dark and quite noisy. My guess is due to a backlit situation which is really tough and maybe a significant crop. I do like the pose of the Pelican.
